Isn't it ironic so many bloggers simultaneously espouse the changing world of the Long Tail yet are desparate about getting to the head of the Technorati rankings? Being different takes nerve.

It must be something in the coffee or a Kariba dam full of testosterone that drives the UberGurus to be #1. Content notwithstanding, some top blogs are a load of crap.
So who does the judging to make them top dog? We do by continually navigating to the sites to see what pearls of wisdom have been dispensed.
There are those guru wannabes, sluts and whores whose aim is to break into the upper echelons. But in time these shallow bloggers will be outed.
Meanwhile I shall continue to appreciate your blogging and a few others who perhaps do not aspire to be A listers but are because we put you there via our mouseclicks.
You will only get out of Blogebrity when we mouseclickers stop clicking or you stop blogging.
Ditto with Robert!

I totally agree, John. Also, many of the top bloggers are not worth reading, as Robert suggests. It's a popularity contest up there, basically.
