Cause And Effect.

In accordance with the 9th rule of Blog Club, I'll address the company of the moment.

YouTube is a tech company built around superior video streaming innovations which it owns, but it's successful because of the content which it doesn't.

I hope that Google can figure out how to leave it in it's own pace - instead telling people that you have to have this and this of google accounts before logging into youtube...

don't we see this happen all the time ? I mean - really ?

Hi Henriette,

I'm looking into this further to check that my view of their technical advantage is accurate. If it is, then i see them moving into corporate video hosting in a big way but whether they can keep their consumer audience in an advertising environment I'm not sure. I agree that we find some advantage in having focussed advertising available to us but I'm not sure that there are as many occassions as some peopel think. Add to that the income share that will have to happen and I don't know if this non-cash deal will look so sweet.
