Is Twitter Killing The Blogosphere?
I have noticed in the past month that the rise of Twitter has coincided with the withdrawal of some original minds from the blogosphere. Is this because they have noticed how much time they are spending away from their real lives? Is this because Twitter is transitory and unsatisfying to them? Or am I writing this post in order to create a digg-friendly headline?

It could be any or all of the above.
Twitter is interesting and it can be fun. I've tried to play with it (participating and just watching) and I don't see much utility. I've gotten a few great links from there (interesting stories I may not have found otherwise), but that's about it.

Yes, I think we're in a deadly spiral of immediacy and brevity.
But as deadly spirals go........
...it's a pleasurable one??
It's not so deadly and we can always choose to be contrarily long-winded and tardy.
but I bloody well killed me.
@ the dead artist
But you are not of this world!
Stop it!
You're making my head spin like an out of control spiral wot did a man deaded make.
I tried to load up Twitter. And yes it was so damn slow I jettisoned it into the spiralling clouds.
HINT: Spiral is the word
Subsequently I have had no Twitting fun nor missed Twitting anyway. Twitting is for Twits. Long live blogs. And comment boxes. The labcoats got it wrong again.
