Marketing Words Are Not Enough.

It's a bank, not a roller-coaster and self-delusion like this is the marketer's worst enemy. Enthusiasm may seem great in meetings, but it's the customers who decide and it's obvious that excitement isn't at the top of their banking needs.

Moreover, I guarantee your branch will not be exciting and if you over-promise, you're bound to under-deliver.

is it an exciting branch, or an exciting opening? what are they talking about? they cant be serious if they mean the branch.

and for a semi-exciting bank branch opening, id expect a glass of booze and a bouncy castle, at least.

@Eaon pithy as ever.

@pr I like the idea of exciting branch-openings, but think they should be hyphenated and kerned properly otherwise they might also be a reference to vacancies.

And to what does the another refer, is it location-specific and is this the place where all the openings happen?

oh hey, i didnt even think of the vacancy option. third time is a charm.

"another"? yeah, its probably the hsbc party place where all the magic happens. that is one crazy sign... you are right about the hyphens and the kerning.

they should try to talk more clearly. im not very inclined to read any contract (to sign it) or the terms and conditions if they cant get a simple sign right. not that they would want me to understand all the drivel in the first place. but jesus, if they want to rip me off, they could at least do it with style. ha!
